The Junior League of Odessa, in partnership with the West Texas Food Bank, will host four series of classes to educate children on making healthy food choices in October.

Classes will be every Tuesday in October, 9th, 16th, and 23rd

The program is called Kids in the Kitchen, a free event open to elementary aged children with an adult attendant and will provide a meal for all participants.

This program offers hands-on cooking classes to encourage children to make healthier eating choices.

Kids in the Kitchen is grounded in the belief that children and families empowered with the knowledge of how to feed and exercise their bodies will be less likely to become obese and subsequently suffer the many associated health risks.
